Amelie Characters

Amelie- Amelie is the protagonist and is the person who does loads of good deeds for everybody she knows. She is a shy person because she never had much of a childhood, this is why she plays childish games with Nino before they meet.

Amandine - Amelies mother, was killed when Amelie was young and a shrine was made for her, by Amelies father in their garden.

Raphael - Amelies father, made a shrine for his lost wife, and became very anti social after her death. never really touched his daughter Amelie, so when he gave her a monthly check up, he thought she had a heart condition.

Suzanne - The Cafe owner has a limp but has never before spilled a drop of liquid. When she was young, she used to be a horse-dancer.

Georgette - The tobacconist at the Cafe, is a hypochondriac, so she believes that she has caught every single new disease that is discovered. has a problem with disease and is overly cautious about it.

Gina - The waitress at the Cafe she enjoys cracking her fingers.Joseph is her ex boyfriend.

Joseph - likes to spy on his ex lover Gina, to check if he has been replaced, is quite a creepy character and spends alot of time in the Cafe.

Hopolito - is a failed writer, usually found sitting in the cafe talking about his failings.

Philomene - is an air stewardess, Amelie looks after her Cat when she is away. She is also the person who takes the Gnome around the world taking pictures, to encourage Amelies father to travel.

Raymond Dufayel - is the Glass man, his bones are so brittle, thqat even the slightest handshake would break his hand, and for htis reason he does not leave his house. He has a video camera pointing outside, butn ot to film anybody, just to tell him the time, as he cannot wind up watches due to his bones. he likes to paint the same painting every year, but he can never get the girl in the middle right, for some reason he thinks that she is out of place.

Madeline Wallace - Lost her husband in a car crash, after losing him to his secretary. He had an affair with his secretary and slept at all the best hotels in the area. Her husband stole from the firms, and then took off, but died in a car crash.

Collignon - Is the green grocer, and Amelie likes to visit him quite a bit, to buy things. He is quite a mean man to Lucien his assistant, and usually says alot of rude words about him. Amelie later plays tricks on Collignon so she can give Lucien a break. he is the only villain in the story.

Lucien - The grocers assistant, takes alot of slack from his boss, such as being called names etc. and seems to like Amelie alot, as whenever he is near her, he stares.
